Lahore Development Authority urges for clarification of new master plan:

LDA seeks clarification from the governing bodies that they should continue the ongoing consultancy and exercise for preparing a new master plan or they should not. LDA master plan’s confirmation is under process. The new master plan is for the Lahore division that comprises Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, and Kasur districts.

Some of the work like a revision of green areas, land conversion, etc. on the new master plan is completed. So, in the recent meetings of the governing body, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) officials have raised their concerns. Lahore’s population is immensely increasing and cross 12 million. Urban expansion in this city will have serious implications. A great number of people also move to Lahore and nearby cities for traveling, employment, education, and business. Therefore, there is a serious requirement of strengthening the Lahore master plan and the surroundings of the city. The main concern of the Lahore Development Authority is to seek the approval that either they should continue working on it or they should just stop that. Soon, LDA Master Plan’s confirmation will approve soon.
